Startup Scale-up Meetup - "Intellectual Property rights" [IEDEREEN=WELKOM]

Is your start- or scale-up developing software or apps, designing products or does it make use of algorithms, for example, in the field of data analytics? Have you considered how to optimally protect your (intellectual) assets? For many early stage companies, adequate protection through obtaining intellectual property rights is crucial for their survival and growth. Intellectual property rights, such as copyright, patents, trademarks, design rights and database rights add value to your company and can help you get a return on your investment. 

Important follow-up questions are, for example: what are the requirements to acquire an intellectual property right and how should you protect your intellectual property in case you are planning a future collaboration with another company? Who has ownership of intellectual property that you create together? What will happen if the collaboration ends? How should you arrange this if one of your employees or a freelancer is involved in the process of creation?
